US Social Forum Program GuidelinesWhat You Need to KnowThe Program Working Group for the United States Social Forum in Atlanta, Georgia invites you to submit a proposal for an event. Educational institutions, community organizations, unions, artists' and writers' collectives, and other non-governmental organizations who support the social forum process are encouraged to come to Atlanta to share their ideas in one of several formats (including performances and exhibitions by artists in all disciplines) designed to promote dialogue among attendees. Before you submit a proposal, register for a site account. This will allow you to go back and make changes to your proposal after you've submitted it. To submit a proposal, go to the Call for Proposals page. Please note that any event submitted through the proposal form will be open to all people participating in the US Social Forum. If you would like to organize an event for a restricted group of people, please do that on your own. Before submitting your proposal, we ask that you read through the information on the pages listed below. The world-wide Social Forum process brings together people who believe that "another world is possible," people approaching the goal of a more just world from many different perspectives. We believe it is important to highlight what unites these people in their struggle and to show that there are sensible explanations for all of the challenges we are facing. The Cross-Cutting Themes page is designed to help you see these connections so that you can bring them into your USSF events if possible. Some of the terms used may be unfamiliar to you, so we've linked some words to Wikipedia articles on the topics. For the term that is probably the most important of all, neoliberalism, we've included a separate page. The Cross-Cutting Themes apply to all of the topics that we will be discussing at the USSF. Forum ScheduleThe USSF will arrange presentation of proposals according to how they fit into the following program days:
