The US Social Forum is going to be organized, mobilized and facilitated by us. All of us are participants and almost all of us are volunteers. Don’t you want to volunteer too! Hundreds of people and national level organizations are already stepping up to make sure there's a website, content, and a plan to make the forum happen. We need to make sure that we all have safe, clean and accessible places to meet, sleep and mobilize actions. We need to make sure that our needs for food, water and information are addressed. We need to make sure that we can hear the speakers on the stage, that translation services are fluent and that everyone will have equal access to that stage. In short, we need your help to make sure that the Social Forum is a success! For those folks that are in Atlanta Now- we currently need office volunteers to help Monday- Friday between 10am -5pm. We are looking for volunteers to sign up for 3-4 hour shifts, preferably twice a week, to help with data entry, database management, reception, recruitment and coordination of Hospitality Housing, and soliciting donations. We are trying to finalize the volunteer schedule and we are asking volunteers to sign up now for their shift during the forum. Volunteer shifts are scheduled for a minimum of 4 hours. We appreciate any time you are able to give as a volunteer during the Forum. We are encouraging people to sign up for multiple shifts, and we are specifically looking for Dedicated Volunteers. Remember, all volunteers must be registered for the Forum. Dedicated Volunteers are those volunteers who commit to four, 4 hour shifts (16 volunteer hours) and these volunteers are able to apply for a waiver of their individual registration fee for the Forum.
