How can those trained in the military transfer that training to community strenghtneing, and still keep a nonpolitical agenda. It matters not why someone went into the service, and no records are available as to why or if that varies from place to place (e.g. with lack of jobs).

I have sent two year, plus, developing that we can value the individual as a person, before, during and after military service, with programs to meet needs of regions with both volunteer and employed people with miitary training. I have gotten people from all kinds of persuasions to see the value and to cooperate.

This work has significant possibilities.

Telling the person going into the military that we give thanks for him/her and, plain and simple, without political messages seems basic to democracy to me.
