I know that there is a lot of work (and need) in New Mexico to join the issues of Social Justice and the Environment, and would love to hear of others organizing in this way. With water and development being such critical issues for the southwest in general, and in New Mexico specifically, it is essential for us all to come together and make sure to protect the interests of the people who live in New Mexico and whose families have lived in New Mexico for generations.

Would love to hear from others...

New Mexico Environmental Law Center and the South West Organizing Project are two very good organizations that are committed to working on the issues of development, social justice and environment. It is more important than ever to orgainize in NM especially in Northern New Mexico where there are water resources and where it is increasly harder to make a living.

If you are truly from New Mexico and organizing in New Mexico you would
know that the New Mexico Acequia Association and the Land Grant Movement
as well as many environmental and EJ organizations are doing great work around issues of
water and EJ, in particular in Northern New Mexico. .
