Organization Description

Just Foreign Policy is an independent and non-partisan membership organization. We are dedicated to reforming U.S. foreign policy to serve the interests and reflect the values of the broad majority of Americans, rather than those of special interests both inside and outside of government. We are a new organization that started in the summer of 2006. So far we have worked on a variety of foreign policy issues, but have maintained a steady focus on Iran and trying to prevent a U.S. military strike on Iran.

Session Description

We have a photo exhibit on Iraq, Iran and Lebanon that we would like to display somewhere at the Social Forum. This is not a proposal for a workshop; however, I did not know where else to submit it.

The photo exhibit is very powerful and features work from Iran, Iraq and Lebanon by award winning photojournalist Lynsey Addario, Andrew Stern, Ramin Talaie, and Mohammad Kheirkhah. The 15 high quality images consist of five images from the war in Iraq, five images from the destruction in Lebanon, and five contrasting images of life in Iran. Each piece is 3 feet by 2 feet. They can be displayed on easels that we have or can be hung on the wall with velcro. The exhibit also comes with the caption for each picture and a petition that the viewer can sign against a military strike on Iran.

You can see more about the photo exhibit and the photojournalists at http://www.justforeignpolicy.org/tour/photos.html
