Session Description

The Sutherland Institute is an annual skill building and training conference for Africa Advocates. This year, in concert with the US Social Forum, we are offering a series of films, basic organizing workshops, and informational sessions on current issues facing the African continent. The workshops will span several days and will include national and regional experts and activists. Training workshops will cover: Communications 101 -- Framing and Presenting Your Message; Debt 101; Global Economic Systems: Empty Promises for Africa; and Under the Baobob Tree - Intergenerational Lessons.
