Organization Description

The 2008 RNC- Anti-Authoritarian response The RNC Welcoming Committee proposes a (2-hour) organizing session to discuss and explain the anti-authoritarian and anarchist infastructure that has formed to support resistance to the 2008 Republican National Convention coming to the Twin Cities. The Welcoming Committee is a decentralized organization that supports a diversity of tactics, and we therefore want to provide folks coming in to the Twin Cities with what they need. The Welcoming Committee is coordinating housing, food, and transportation, as well as educating locally and hosting events related to the RNC.

Session Description

Our presentation would discuss who the Republican National Convention Welcoming Committee is, our points of unity and how we function as a group, an intro to the Twin Cities and its radical history, and what the RNC might look like security and logistics-wise. Most importantly the session would provide time for people to brainstorm. Our website, updated frequently with relevant information, is www.nornc.org.
