One of the committees of GAC is the International Front for Afrikans for Reparation to serve as a clearinghouse on activities throughout the Diaspora to achieve reparations. Proposal Demographicsidentify as people of color Session DescriptionDr Raymond Winbush author of Should America Pay? will act as moderator. Ife Williams will give an overview and reportback of the organization of the African Descendants and their efforts at WCAR to have the Trans Atlantic Slave Trade and Slavery crimes against humanity; follow up conferences in Barbados and Movement Beyond Borders in DC; the adhoc reparations workshop held at WSF in Brazil; current litigation and mobilization efforts to secure reparations in Europe, Africa and the Americas. A short video clip of the African Descendants Caucus at WCAR will be presented as part of the reportback. The floor will then open to develop strategic actions for the future of reparations. The presentation will include visuals, handouts, powerpoint and video to present a succinct history of the development of Global Reparations from World Conference Against Racism. The audience will then be asked to participate through questions, answers, suggestions for strategies as based on the information given.
