We saw King in Ghana at its independence, we saw him come out against the war in Vietnam, he was internationalist and set the bar very high. IFCO/ Pastors for Peace works with faith communities in Cuba to keep alive this internationalist vision. Through people to people work these programs are making a global impact on international humanitarian work. This panel will discuss the faith community in Cuba and how the ideas of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. compliment Cuba’s solidarity work world-wide. The panel will be a two hour discussion lead by Rev.Dora Arce, a Cuban Presbyterian pastor, and Rev. Lucius Walker, a Baptist pastor who directs IFCO/Pastors for Peace.
