MEDIA POOL MEDIA REGISTRATION
The purpose of the Media Pool is to provide Audio and Video coverage at the 2007 US Social Forum for:
- Media workers to use the raw footage in their reporting
- USSF Archives – online and available on DVD
- Enable participants to view key sessions they did not attend due to scheduling conflicts, location, prioritization, or other reasons.
- Enable participants to review key sessions afterwards for greater retention, to contact and discuss with presenters or other attendees and more
- Posting excerpts to Blogs to continue the discussions and trainings
- Grow your personal/organization's network by collaborating with other media workers
- Integrate all forms of coverage with agreed-upon naming and tagging standards
- Create materials and an organizational framework that future conferences can build upon for future inclusive, grassroots media pools
- Facilitate dialog and interchange between different strata of media workers (independent, mainstream, bloggers, vloggers, and so on)
