Session Description

A diverse panel of farmers, farmworkers, indigenous and urban agriculturalists will present glimpses of their vision for food sovereignty in practice. These particular perspectives will be sown together to enrich the big vision of food sovereignty and harmony of land and peoples, with particular challenges and struggles identified and successful strategies and practices illustrated. A dialog with participants will attempt to build a vision of practical and poetic solidarity, with a view of strengthening current work and struggles. Inclusivity/diversity (both social and ecological), participatory democracy, and the latest practices of living on and defending land in a state of abundance and harmony will be raised up.
