Session Description

Bringing Home US Social Forum: Carrying out Strategies Locally and Globally

This interactive workshop will provide the tools and on-going support for organizing back home. Circle Connections is a member organization that provides the skills and support for calling a gathering of women and men to hear about the USSF and to self-organize into action circles based on passion and responsibility. We teach how to create a level playing field, where everyone is valued and diversity is appreciated instead of ranked as one better than another. We provide the opportunity to learn by creating action circles during the workshop. Participants will learn self-organizing skills along with group process skills that empowers everyone to fully participate. We provide hand outs and on-going support through our website, monthly conference calls, events and workshops. We connect action circles in the United States and Canada through the Internet for mutual support and sharing of best practices. 8 Steps to Co-Creating Action Circles is a guide that will be taught in the workshop. It is not only for organizing, it is a guide for a happiness, health and success at work, in our families and community. Circle Connections is part of a worldwide movement of equality and justice. We are part of the USSF Women's Working Group and the planning circle for a Women’s World Conference in 2010.
