The mission of Share International is taken diredtly from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 25: "Everyone has the right to a standard of living adequate for the health and well-being of himself and his family, including food, clothing, housing and medical care, necessary social services, and the right to security in the event of unemployment, sickness, disability, widowhood, old age or other lack of livelihood in circumstances beyond their control."
In keeping with the basic tenent of Share International, Share International volunteers in Atlahta dedicate themselves to educating the public about the necessity for the fulfillment of these priorities by offering suggestions for ensuring their establishment in the world.
The Share International motto is: Without sharing there can be no justice; without justice there can be no peace; without peace there is no future.
Proposal Demographicsidentify as women are artists/cultural workers are 65 years or older Session DescriptionShare International Atlanta will present the priorities required for the creation of a new world based on peace and justice and will offer concrete ways in which attendees can contribute to ensure the successful establishment of these priorities in the world. A new world is upon us, an age of synthesis and brotherhood in which the present time of turmoil, division and separation will gradually give way to a new era of trust and peace. Peace can only be ensured through the creation of justice. Justice can only be achieved through sharing. Sharing, therefore, is the key to world peace and security. Attendees will be presented with the concept of sharing the world's resources in order to foster the trust required for peace and cooperation. Our presentation will also address th need for the tolerance of and appreciate for all peoples as a means to achieving this peace and harmony. Unity in diversity is the key to future harmony. The presentation will conclude with an experiential event demonstrating our Oneness. Attendees will participate in this event.
