The Columbian continent was misnamed "America".

The once-stolen name "America" was then stolen a second time by British colonial revolutionaries who used it as the name of their new country, the United States of "America", an imperialist country with a democratic Republican veneer claiming a Renaissance origin but heavily influenced by sometimes perverse Enlightenment ideas and ideals.

When referring to Columbia or the Columbias the use of the name "America" is anathema.
