The USSF in the News

THE USSF IN THE NEWS

The United States Social Forum is a new dawning for the grassroots movements. More that 5000 persons and hundreds of organizations from across the nation participated in its opening march that took the streets of Atlanta. Participating in the program that followed, held at Atlanta’s Civic center and numerous locations around the city, was a lively and visible multigenerational, multi-ethnic, and sexual diverse crowd of close to 15,000 persons. Yet mainstream and corporate media, even as we met under their nose at the base of their headquarters, had nothing or very little to say about the USSF—because it was significant!

Below is a list of links to stories and reports that were made of the USSF and its enormous impact on the US grassroots community. Many are from the widening net of independent media that are giving voice to unrepresented and challenging media conglomerates by redefining the news. Consider writing your USSF story too!
