RESOLUTION FOR CONSIDERATION AT THE PEOPLES MOVEMENT ASSEMBLY AT THE ATLANTA CIVIC CENTER, SUNDAY JULY 1, 2007.

WHEREAS, ongoing raids by the ICE police threaten new immigrants and all working people; and

WHEREAS, a privately owned detention center in Tacoma, Washington is the prison where these detained workers are taken.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, THAT OUR NORTHWEST REGIONAL ASSEMBLY OF THE USSF CALLS FOR:

1) A halt to all ICE raids

2) The closure of the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma, Washington

3) The creation of a Northwest Council to implement points one and two

4) All organizations and individuals participating in this USSF to halt all ICE raids
and shut down all these private detention centers associated with the Prison
Industrial Complex
